What is IV Therapy?
Intravenous (IV) therapy is the administration of fluids, vitamins, and/or minerals directly into the bloodstream which is the fastest way possible to deliver essential nutrients to the body. IV therapy can be used for rehydration, vitamin or mineral deficiencies, increased immunity, energy boosts, weight loss, and much more. Many of us take oral supplements to treat deficiencies; however, oral supplements only allow for 30% absorption through the digestive system. IV therapy is much more powerful and effective as it allows for 100% absorption at the cellular level.

S&K Wellness IV Process
1. Download the Hydreight Mobile app
Set up your account which will include a medical history and consent form.
2. Give us a text or call to set up an appointment for the IV treatment that is right for you
At your visit we will review/verify your medical history and discuss any adjustments that may need to be made. We can also discuss any add-on therapy you may wish to receive.
3. Accessing your vein
Our nurses place a small, thin plastic tube called a catheter directly into your vein. Once the vein is accessed, the needle is removed and the small catheter stays inside the vein to administer the infusion.
4. Attaching the Fluid bag
Your chosen drip is then connected to the IV hub via IV tubing and the drip begins.
5. Sit Back and Relax
The drip will generally take between 30 minutes to an hour to fully infuse. After the infusion is complete, the IV catheter will be removed and you can continue with the rest of your day!

- Lactated Ringers is made of Sodium Chloride, Sodium Lactate, Potassium Chloride, and Calcium Chloride and water
- Normal Saline is a mixture of Sodium Chloride (salt) and water that mirrors the body’s concentration of salt to ensure it hydrates
